Even the wait staff of the taproom of Bambi's Brew House and Bakery have to clock in and out.

The first time I ran across the term "t and a", it was in reference to shows like Baywatch and Riptide. Later, I heard the same initials used in reference to HR, "time and attendance". You can imagine the small confusion at first.
